hi, I'm kaela.

I'm learning as I go. Thank you for stopping by.

And They Tell Me I Am Young

When you look at your own skin and you notice, for the first time, that you are aging. That scrapes and cuts don't heal as rapidly as they once did. That dimples form under the thin softness that covers you, telling of dinner parties and carbs you couldn't resist. Bumps and bruises give away your clumsiness and make few wonder if you really are okay like you say you are. The wrinkles that crease your crown deceive your age but compliment the message your gaze emits - that you've seen enough to know you are grown and that age is merely a number.
